Blizzard cautious on WOW Consoles
It might be a complicated ruse or it might be reflective of real thinking at Blizzard but, according to the firm, there are no plans to port the comically successful World of Warcraft to any console, be it present or next-generation…

Speaking to CNN Money, Paul Sams, vice president of business operations at Blizzard, displayed surprising caution towards the concept of living room WOW as a viable product right now. “While there is an interest [from platform holders] and while that sounds cool to us, we're not going down that road at this time,” stated Sams. "Once we get to the point where we feel we've achieved best of class and it's sustainable... then we'll start contemplating those types of things.”

This news does come as something of a surprise, as it was thought that Microsoft had reached advanced stages of negotiation with Blizzard for World of Warcraft, or a variant, for Xbox 360. Perhaps this is something of a bluff aimed at making sure WOW for consoles makes a big impression when announced…

Whatever the truth may be, we’ll let you know as soon as we hear anything.

Shame, late nights in front of the TV are so much more comfortable than late nights in front of the computer.
