Game Boy Micro – The one you know you need
There something about Japan-only hardware that makes us feel sick with lust and envy. Though usually we are only crippled with smouldering hatred and rage for a week or so, some items can really push us over the edge.

And the Game Boy Micro Famicom version is surely one of them. Just look at it. Geek jewellery at its absolute finest…

Now there is an upside to all this, though it comes with a savage biting sting in its tail. We’ll get a Micro commemorating Nintendo’s 8-Bit glory, though it will be NES branded version. Nintendo is a ‘bit funny’ about its territorial IP these days, as you might have read.

A NES Micro hasn’t been announced at time of press, though you can be sure on one showing up in the coming months.

And have a look at these rather special TV commercials for the Famicom Micro here and here.

Hey, we are used to getting a raw deal on that front, it would be nice if Nintendo Europe would actually do a little research to find out what colours we'd like prior to a launch. All that takes is a page questionaire in a damn games mag or tuck into a game or something.

Suppose thats the funny thing about Nintendo, just as you feel they understand you they go and do stuff to challenge your sanity and theirs more.

Market research is a worderful thing if used properly. MS and Xbox are testiment to this fact. Sega's recent questionaire with their Shadow the Hedgehog game also springs to mind, and it's nice to be asked sometimes. Wish Nintendo would do this more and connect with us on the same level.

If you cries fall on deaf ears just import one. The best way to get what you want and are denied for no real reason.
