SPOnG is averagely pleased to bring you these unique videos of Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, the latest game in the massive-selling action RPG series from Nintendo. So why are we only averagely pleased? Well, the main reason is the ShakeyCam action our reporter was able to grab.
You see, this was the first time ever unrestricted media access was offered for Nintendo’s new Zelda game. And of course, how were we to know that filming would be permitted? We weren’t. So it’s not our fault.
Anyway, it’s better this way. You get to feel the ambience of the really rather naff venue, as mentioned in our earlier Game Boy Micro piece, a really rubbish subterranean former techno club in London's Soho. You get to hear a member of Nintendo’s PR agency talking to someone in the background, the guy playing the game swearing about monkeys and - best of all - experience reduced viewing enjoyment courtesy of the ShakeyCam-quality video and audio!
Convinced yet? No, but don’t worry, we understand and won’t hold it against you. Perhaps the main problem with these videos is that they don’t portray the sheer majesty of what Nintendo is achieving with Twilight Princess. SPOnG always thought it a shame that gamers, even those loyal to the series, couldn’t see past the graphical presentation of Wind Waker. Nintendo listened to the reaction of its fans, even polling them several times on the issue, and this is its answer. You want realistic Zelda? Well then, here you go!
Video 1High Quality Xvid AVI (13.8Mb)
Low Quality Xvid AVI (7.4Mb)

Video 2High Quality Xvid AVI (8.1Mb)
Low Quality Xvid AVI (4.7Mb)
Windows Media (10.5Mb)
Tip: Go for the hi-Q Xvid format - it's the best quality and smaller than the Windows Media. Luddites, sporting tin cans and string, might be able to download the lo-Q versions before the sun goes cold.
Stick with SPOnG for the best Nintendo coverage forever more, including some natty Zelda bits and pieces - sans ShakeyCam - in the coming months. However, fans of ShakeyCam should not worry – there’ll be plenty more low-quality video content hitting these pages soon!
