Tennis, not snowboarding
It’s been confirmed that two popular Xbox franchises will also be enjoying outings on the fast approaching Xbox 360 console. The snowboarding game Amped will have its third installment appear on the new machine, and will feature fully customisable riders whose appearance, boards and clothing can all be tailored to users’ wishes. The game will feature a single player story mode in which you must rescue your friends from the jaws of death on a rugged mountainside.

Also confirmed for 360 is the second Top Spin game. Top Spin was hailed by many as the spiritual successor to the immensely popular Virtua Tennis games from SEGA. Like Amped, the game will allow players to totally customise their characters, and will also feature 24 real-life licensed players. Fans of the original can expect improved player animations, stadia and crowds, as well as a new feature, 'risk shots'.

Both games, originally sold with a Microsoft Game Studios label, are to be published this time around by Take 2 Interactive. This is following the publisher’s purchase of the company that developed the originals, Power and Magic. The Utah based company is now called Indie Built and will be responsible for translating the joys of both games into next-gen form.

It has not been announced when we can expect these titles to be released, but we'll get you a date here on SPOnG as soon as it's confirmed.
