If you have ever fancied studying the ways of the Samurai or have been fascinated by the mysterious ways of the east, get yourself ready. Do you remember a game on the PlayStation called Bushido Blade from Squaresoft? The development team behind Bushido Blade are responsible for this unofficial sequel. Bushido Blade had a unique approach to combat that changed the way people thought and played fighting games. In Bushido Blade you could roam anywhere in the 3D environment and apply whatever technique you wanted to. There were no energy bars, if you managed to get a critical hit on your enemy that’s all it took.

In Kengo you start the game as an apprentice Samurai and work your way up to becoming a master of the Bushido way. The graphical power of the PlayStation 2 will allow for complicated, beautiful and detailed environments. These improved graphics will increase the realism of the title and make the game even more immersive than before. In the finished version of the game Kengo will feature over 18 characters with 3 of them playable. What makes Kengo exciting is the fully customisable attack combinations that will be available to you. Expanding on the open nature of Bushido Blade, Kengo will be more playable than ever.

Kengo will feature several gauges including life, weapon and spirit. These gauges have a direct affect on the gameplay, depending on how you decide to utilise your newly gained experience, you can affect your attacking abilities to suit your own preference. Kengo is true to the way of the Samurai; if you play with honour your path in the game will be completely different to if you play with evil intent. Do have what it takes to become a Bushido master, only time will tell.
