EA Announces Need For Speed Most Wanted
Today has seen Electronic Arts make it official: Need For Speed Most Wanted is coming in November 2005, to all contemporary platforms, and one that you can’t buy yet. In January, we revealed all about the next NFS home console title, thanks to a ‘For EA eyes only’ document that leaked our way.

The series is set to add to the simple street racing, ‘pimp my ride’ idea, with a return to something along the lines of earlier games in the series, notably Hot Pursuit. Evading cop cars while filling up your rap sheet is the key to the game as well as getting onto the fuzz’s Blacklist. Then you’ll know that you’ve earned the moniker of Most Wanted.

Larry LaPierre, senior producer at EA Canada, can barely contain himself: "Out-race your opponents, evade cops and exploit the open world in Need for Speed Most Wanted; street racing doesn't get any better than this. Players instantly will feel the thrill of the ride as they hit the streets in an open world environment where drivers can tune their cars to compete against any class of vehicles or use their wits to out-fox the law to satisfy their need for speed." Steady on, Larry!

Excited? Let us know all about it here.

I for one, wish they would make a return to the need for speed series I fell in love with on the PC back in the 90's, i think they need to ditch this "fast and furious" thug life approach and make a real racing game, and thats just my opinion, i know allot of peopel like the whole rap vibe- spinning rims bullshit but I'm not a tool.

More like "Need for Speed: Most Vaunted", IMNS-f**king-HO

What's so bloody good about age-old features dressed with multi-layered iridescent lacquer?

EA should just get a clue and give gamers something worthwhile, or just f**k off.

While clueless wonders keep buying their bile, EA won't f**k off any time soon.

Unless they learn the meaning of '60 fps' i won't bother considering this rehash.

What is the meaning of 60fps?

Surely just two - Halo 1 & 2 - is enough!
