British broadsheet The Telegraph reported at the weekend that London-based publisher SCi is poised to pounce for Eidos Interactive, whose latest CM title – Championship Manager 5 – was released last Friday. We are led to believe that SCi is carrying out Due Diligence, usually the final investigative step before taking the plunge to make an offer, possibly as early as this week. Other suitors named are Elevation Partners, Francisco Partners and French publishing giant Ubisoft. The news of the possible purchase of Eidos – or some of its Intellectual Property - prompted a share price rise of 8.3 % last Friday.

We called SCi early this morning for the full skinny, but were told no-one was available for comment at this time.

Needless to say, we’ll keep tabs on this story as it unfolds.

You're company database is rather natty. Neat little synopsis of SCi.

At least Eidos won't close, although what it will produce after being taken over is anyone's guess. Can't be much more average than the current games.

Company who has done nothing decent since SVIW on the Amiga to buy company who has done nothing decent since Tomb Raider on PS1.

No wonder UK is no longer a world force in games publishing.

I just looked at
your database entry for SCi
and while I with Adamm - it is kinda neat - I don't see how they could have made the 1982 title Jungle Maths, when they were not formed until 1988.
