According to a report on The Magic Box, Capcom Japan has denied that there will be any significant graphical difference in the PlayStation 2 version of Resident Evil 4.
This follows
speculation from the Japanese press that Leon, the main character in the game, had had his polygonal count slashed in half, from 10,000 polygons to a mere 5,000. The villagers in the PlayStation 2 version, according to a report in the latest GC World, will be constructed of around 4,000 polygons, about the same number used for the Snake model in MGS3.
However, Capcom over the weekend moved to quash these rumours, declaring them false. The Japanese firm also went as far to state that the source magazine had never even been given access to Resident Evil 4 PS2, much less carry out a detailed review.
And you thought it was just the UK magazine industry that constantly lied to its readers? Seemingly, it’s a global problem.
