Dead or Alive News: Today's Excuse for Picture of Semi-naked Chick!
Ever heard of a model called Natassia Malthe? No, us neither. We looked her up on Google though, and can report that - should we be forced to share a bed with her - we wouldn’t kick her out of it, as the tired old misogynist phrase goes.

Well, according to reports on the Internet (and the Internet’s chosen specialist subject is misogynist female photography) Ms Malthe has been cast to play lead in the looming Dead or Alive movie adaptation of Team Ninja’s pie-tastic fighting/sports/gentlemen’s relish videogames.

If any more low-impact models are announced for any other videogame movie tie-ins, be sure that we’ll let you know.

Dude, I have spent quite a bit of time playing, with DOA Xtreme Beach Volleyball on my screen.

And all I can say is.. that girl is not nearly as pneunatic as I would have expected. Is the casting director blind, or will she be required to get Kirsten Dunsted before shooting (a-hem) starts.

Ms. Malthe has done a fair few movies, including Elektra, 40 Days & 40 Nights (as "Girl in Bed") and Lake Placid.

All good stuff - LOL

Here's her filmo on "SPOnG for movies", IMDB :)

At least she was in the Jessica Alba-athon TV series, Dark Angel, as the pivotal character "Redhead at Party".

Most of her "characters" seem to be devoid of a second name, those that are named that is. Weirdly enough, this includes the part of "Typhoid" in Elektra, which surely should be "Typhoid Mary" (actually the only two-named character on the Elektra website - wierd turnaround). IMDB in wrong character name shocker!

My big question: who the hell will she play? She hasn't got the right hair colour for any of the major women! The ninjas a redhead and purple haired, Christie the assassin's got white hair, Tina's blonde... Hitomi? Lei Fang? She could be Ayane, but she'd have to dye it lavender...

The biggest question of all is, how the frick are they going to make a movie out of this poorly animated titty-bounce dross?

Dude use you imagination, it'll be blokes and chicks fighting, just like Mortal Kombat but perhaps with some fan service and innuendo thrown in.

On the subject of DOA Volleyball I'd just like to say that in a world become more PC, that such games exist. If DOAV was a western game we might not get away with it and would have females protesting.

It's nice to see some blantant, shameless, ladish stuff even if it's come from japan (even though there are worse games available there, if you thought that XXX BMX game was bad or too much you know what I mean).

Right, I'm off to shamelessly order my copy of Rumble Roses, LOL.

i am a heterosexual man... ask my girl friend... she'lll tell you... and then whip you in halo! I'm a lucky heterosexual man!

That said... I LOVE DOAX... it is waaay more fun buying those girls clothes and making them have matchign otufits than it shoudl be. Oh and the gameplay itself is actually very good too! lots of fun two player. Rumble roses on the other hand lacks the incrdible amount of charm that DOAV has... its so much more harsh and american... i would feel dirty playing rumble roses.

i have no point to make...

Dude, that's not a question any hetero-sex-ual man should be asking.

Clearly, they need to dump the story line of the game (did, it have one? I never played it) and make a movie of DoA Xtreme Bitch Catfight.

Chicks dressed in thong bikinis will run in slow motion at towards another, then they will dive at one another in a slow motion parabolic arc, as the sun shimmers off their finely-toned honey-coloured exquisitely-oiled flesh. They will crash, in slow motion, onto the beach, as their taught pubescent musculature recoils with the shock of the impact, again in slow motion. Our camera will pause, lovingly on their flanks, as the sand grains adhere to the Hawaiian Tropic Factor -12 basting oil that is smeared across there chests, down their washboard stomaches, around their vertical eyebrow adorned pubic regions and onto their muscular thighs. Thighs that we imagine, wrapped around our waists as we thrust a copy of Big Issue into their hands, and screech, "Pahnd fifty, luv".

I am a genius. Hollywood, call me!

I would, as the man said, "buy that for a dollar"!

When's it out? As it were!

Oddly for a fighting game, DOA has a ridiculously complex plot. Expect the film to be as clever as Street Fighter: the Movie was, though.

I remember readin in an EGM a while back (around when gaiden came out) in the "over heard" section that itagaki said "story in a video game is like story in porn, its only there to get you to the next fun section" (very rough paraphrasal[seplling?]).

You can tell from the cut scenes that they probably do have a very well fleshed out story for doa... they just dont liek to way the games down with it. Look at gaiden, an entire game based of the story fo just two of the charcters, and the story in that was suprisingly light!

also i woudl liek to unfortunatly agree... the movie will most likely suck balls!
