More Kirby – More pondering

Gay as you like, the round one returns

Posted by Staff
There is no question about the gayest Nintendo character. It’s clearly Kirby and he loves it, you can just tell. Aside from his impressively aggressive outing in Super Smash Bros, Kirby is the most metrosexual character, perhaps ever.

More filler text required…

Oh, and in the North of England, Kirby is a street game played with a soccer ball. Did you know that? Interesting stuff. The game is played by two players who stand on opposite side of a backstreet in a rundown part of Manchester. Having no money for sweets but having successfully stolen a football form some smaller, weaker children, players take it in turns to throw the ball at the opposing kerb, proving that the game is actually called Kerby, perhaps kerbie.

All of which begs the question, what is SPOnG going on about? Well, there’s a new Kirby game coming out, for the Nintendo GameCube. And there’s really not that much to say about it. As you can see from the included screens, Kirby jumps about a bit, and sucks down other critters, no doubt absorbing their powers. And ting.

The game has no official title at the moment, though it’s expected to hit late next year.

Yeah, I used to play Kerby as a kid and i live in the south east. It's not just for penniless delinquent Man United fans you know.

As for Kirby, he does look a little weird but so do the damn annoying Tweenies and Teletubbies, in fact come I think I best send Hitman to take their furry arses out.

Kirby is cute but not annoying, even if the little beggar is pink, he's a good addition to Nintendo's GC catalogue but needs more exposure. Good all the same.

We are still waiting to see a Kid Icarus game though.

I'll whoop all your arses at Kerbie... Officially the sport of .. shall we say.. "Non sporty" types :)

And yeah, we definately need a few more Kirby games, too.

I think Spong forgot about a little character named "Birdo"...

And simply by its announcement, this new Kirby has already surpased Kirby 64 in terms of quality. Congrats Nintendo!

The south east? A likely home for many a Man Utd fan, I would have thought. :)

Now there's a crossover game I'd pay for! Agent 47 vs. all the cute characters from other games!

In fact, why limit it to cute characters? Start off with levels against Teletubbies and Kirby, move on up through Ratchet and Jak levels, then finish with Sam Fisher and Master Chief!!

You could have a whole set of levels dedicated to Pokemon! Imagine razor wiring that big mouthed git, Ash??
