Nintendo Confirm All 2004 Release Dates - Christmas Line-Up Revealed

Mario, Donkey Kong, Zelda and Metroid heading up festivities.

Nintendo Europe has this morning revealed its full autumn and Christmas line-up. There’s a solid selection of ‘Cube titles, kicking off with the cut-price Wario Ware Inc and the belated European PAL version of Animal Crossing at the beginning of September. October will usher in the delightful Pikmin 2 and the percussive chaos that is Donkey Konga, the Japanese version of which SPOnG has been thrashing solidly for the last few weeks. Paper Mario 2 and Tales of Symphonia are due for a November release and then finally, Metroid Prime 2 will hit the shelves on November 26.

Notably absent from this festive roster are the Namco and Nintendo joint project Starfox - which has reportedly been pushed back until 2005 - and also Mario Party 6, which has yet to reveal its mysterious ability to be played "without a controller".

For the more nomadic fanboys, the GBA menu is also looking healthy. It’s the Advance’s last chance to shine before the DS steps in to steal its thunder, so titles like The Legend Of Zelda: The Minish Cap and Final Fantasy 1 & 2: Dawn Of Souls will be of no small importance.

Here’s the official PAL line-up in full:

Wha?

That gets me ever time too. No, it not a Monkey Ball type game. No, it's not a dance mat game...

It's Mario Pinball...

Ah, right! Pinball!
Could they have picked a more confusing name!?

Damn, I'm gonna have to start stocking up on GBA games before they disappear in the incoming DS storm.

Nice line up for the GBAs last chance saloon. I just hope GBA games don't disappear so quickly, though I can see the january sales being a good chance to pick up some pre-DS bargains.

Well at first glance not that exciting line up. To me anyway. But then again there are plenty of games there I will definatly buy anyway.

Pikmin 2 will be awesome and I can't wait for Paper Mario after playing Mario & Luigi's Superstar Saga. Legend Of Zelda Minish Cap looks interesting so I might get that too and I will no doubt end up buying Pokemon Fire Red for the hell of it as its Pokemon. I swear thoughs games have some sort of hypnotic lock on me. And I might take a look at Donkey Konga too...looks interesting.

But compared with other console lineup its not as exciting (Xbox especially) but unlike PS2 it certainly has quality rather than quantity.

Man...I've had Animal Crossing for so long that its almost funny to see it on that list.

Nice line-up.

Paper Mario 2 looks great and the GBA will finally have more than a handful of good titles.

Echoes should be good provided they haven't switched to a Halo-style control system and the story isn't too tacky. The Prime control system was amazing and changing it woukld wreck the game.
