Two weeks ago it was revealed that Ignition Entertainment had struck a deal with SNK that would see a full PAL release of both Metal Slug 3 and Metal Slug Advance. Today, this relationship between the two companies has been bolstered further with the announcement that the publishing deal will be extended across a wide range of SNK titles.
Apart from the superb Metal Slug games, due for release in October, other highlights from SNK’s back catalogue will be spread out between September and spring of next year. Japanese PS2 owners are already enjoying classically styled 2D fighting games in the shape of King of Fighters, Samurai Spirits Zero and SNK vs Capcom, and these games will all find their way over to Europe as part of this latest deal.
The newest addition to the SNK catalogue, the three-dimensional bruiser that is King of Fighters: Maximum Impact, will also be handled by Ignition for its PAL release, which is likely to be at some point in early 2005. It is, as they say, all good.
