As PC gamers look forward to a great year for FPS sequels and new MMORPGs, Matrix Games has revealed its line-up for the Origins Game Expo in Ohio later this month. Refusing to be swept away by the latest tide of graphical gorgeousness and gameplay glory, Matrix remains steadfast in its traditional, hexagonal PC war-gaming ways. Hence the roster consists entirely of overwhelmingly complicated, slow-moving strategic reconstructions of legendary historical battles.

Aspiring generals and commanders, armed with weighty historical tomes, hairy faces and 237-sided die will be able to cast a considered eye over the following titles:

World at War
Battles in Normandy
Conquest of The Aegean
Empires in Arms
Flashpoint: Germany
Battlefields!
Combat Leader
Tin Soldiers: Alexander the Great
