Nintendo Requests Your Input on NES Classics Range

No one mention the SNES!

Posted by Staff
Nintendo is currently requesting feedback on which NES games you'd most like to see as part of the NES Classics range, with the firm offering around 1,300 titles to choose from - a retro paradise indeed.

Our suggested Nintendo highlights:

1943: The Battle of Midway
Adventures of Lolo
Balloon Fight
Baseball Stars
Castlevania
Contra
Dig Dug
Donkey Kong Jr.
Double Dribble
Dr. Mario
Ghosts 'n Goblins
Golgo 13
Hudson's Adventure Island
Kid Icarus
Kirby's Adventure
Kung Fu
Mario Bros.
Metal Gear
Metroid
Pro Wrestling
Punch-Out!!
Skate or Die
Strider
Tecmo Bowl
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II
Tetris
Track & Field II
Wrecking Crew
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

You can nominate your favourites from practically all NES releases - both first and third party - that ever hit the shelves. Of course, there are some glaring omissions from the above list: that's because Bomberman, Donkey Kong, Excitebike, Ice Climber, The Legend of Zelda, Pac-Man, Super Mario Bros. and Xevious are already available stateside and due for European release next month.

I'd say Double Dragon 2, Golgo 13, Paperboy, Castlevania 2 and 3, Qix, Tetris, Metal Gear, Punch Out, Kid Icarus, Skate or Die, Strider, Track and Field 2.

I'd much rather see them raiding this lot and the SNES back catalogue. Maybe it's only a matter of time.

It's a good point.

There is so much SNES stuff especially, though this kind of highlight's Nintendo's complacency and current predicament. Clearly, all the SNES gems are destined for full-scale GBA outings, re-released at full price, not as part of a retrospective nugget range…

I think I would be depleting man tears if they re-released Maniac Mansion. But this time, include a hamster in the microwave option.

It'd be quite amusing if they put Track & Field as one of the games. I wonder if it'd come with the mat. I still have mine I think ^_^
