There has been a nasty rumour doing the rounds over the past few days, telling of the canning of the GameCube version of the third game in the TimeSplitters series, Future Perfect - an alarming prospect for the series given that a Nintendo console is arguably its spiritual home.

The chatter hit various forums with those looking out for the game complaining that no firm release date had been made available for the GameCube version.

We contacted Electronic Arts for clarification this morning. “Nothing has changed in relation to the planned formats since we announced on May 6”, we were told, assured that all versions will hit retail.

So that’s that, then.

To much stuff being cancelled, come on don't cancel it. We need games like this on GC. If GC drops in price again before xmas they should also be able to shift more copies then.

It had BETTER stay on Gamecube. It's basically GoldenEye 3.
