The Internet erupted over the weekend with talk of Capcom’s massively anticipated Resident Evil 4 slipping down the release schedule, following a US retailer offering the game for pre-order with a shipping date of early 2005.
Speaking to Capcom this morning, the record was set straight. “In Europe, Resident Evil 4 will ship early 2005, this has not changed,” we were told. “In the US, there has been no change. The game will be shipped in winter of this year, slightly earlier than Europe, due to the additional localisation in the region.”
So the news is...there is no news and nothing has changed. Resident Evil 4 for GameCube will hit the US late this year, followed by the PAL release probably hitting Europe around Easter time.
