3dfx Interactive, Inc. will be displaying its brand new VoodooMac cards at this year's Apple Expo, being held between the 13th and 17th September at Porte De Versailles in Paris, France. The VoodooMAC 5500 PCI is 3dfx's first Apple Macintosh-dedicated Voodoo card and will be exhibited in Gaming Area D3, stand numbers 18 & 20.
3dfx's appearance at Apple Expo comes immediately after the huge 3dfx success at ECTS 2000 in London, where Mac gamers were thrilled by the capabilites of the new Mac cards and the Voodoo5 product range picked up two major show awards for Best Hardware.
Luciano Alibrandi, Product Manager EMEA at 3dfx says: "The best computer platform deserves the best graphics accelerator solutions. Apple Expo is a great event for showcasing our new cards and we're confident that once people have seen just how good graphics can look on their Mac systems, they won't want anything else in there."
The VoodooMac 5500 PCI is a high-end 2D/3D/video accelerator solution and is the only Mac graphics card that offers full-scene anti-aliasing, a technique that removes visual artifacts such as 'jaggies' and 'pixel popping', delivering much smoother video-like images that create dramatically improved immersive experiences for the end-user. The VoodooMac cards offer the highest visual fidelity solution as well as the widest API support to Mac users worldwide.
