The GBA SP NES edition was first revealed to Japanese consumers several months ago, and ever since, European fanboys have been cursing and berating themselves for their inappropriate geographical origin. Styled with classic shades of grey and scarlet, the new SP will be the must-have accessory for 2004. Due for general release on July 9, these special handhelds will cost approximately 129 Euros (probably selling in the UK at around the £80 mark). A bargain to anyone who hunted down a Japanese version on eBay.
Retro-heads who are unwilling to fork out for a brand new GBA SP will still be pleased by the news that this classic revival will also incorporate the re-release of several all-time NES greats for GBA usage:
Super Mario Bros. (Nintendo)
Donkey Kong (Nintendo)
Ice Climber (Nintendo)
Excitebike (Nintendo)
The Legend of Zelda (Nintendo)
Pac-Man (Namco)
Xevious (Namco)
Bomberman (Hudson)
To be sold for less than 20 Euros, these gems will make a worthy purchase for many.
