ICO 2 to Show at E3?

As E3 looms ever closer, speculation is intensifying over which will be the most exciting games of the show. Following a report by Japanese gaming website Quiter, it seems possible that the sequel to ICO may well be making an appearance, under the title of NICO. It’s certainly a plausible idea; the original ICO was well received by critics, and screenshots reeking of a sequel were leaked several months ago. If Sony was intending to make an official announcement, E3 would certainly be a sensible place to do it.

However, these rumours are so far unconfirmed and are simply based on the fact that Sony registered NICO as a trademark last year. The use of upper case letters would indicate a fairly concrete connection to ICO, but there is still potential ambiguity. After all, Pacman, Pikmin and Pokemon all sound similar...People will just have to draw their own conclusions in the meantime.
