Paper Mario 2 – New Screens!

Flat-tering Nintendo excitement looms for 'Cube.

Posted by Staff
Nintendo Japan has released the latest screens from Paper Mario 2, the Intelligent System-developed RPG sequel set in the now familiar Mushroom Kingdom.

Paper Mario 2 (that's Mario Story 2 in Japan) will see a riveting blend of RPG and platform action that has been described to us as being akin to the very much underrated Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga for the Game Boy Advance. M&L Superstar seemed - unfairly in our opinion - to creep into shops stripped of the usual fanfare that accompanies the little plumber.

Frustratingly, little else is known about the game at this time, though its inclusion on this year's Nintendo E3 stand is almost certain. Expect more from the show.

"a riveting blend of RPG and platform action"

Well, it looks good - on paper.

Hahahaaa. I'm soooo funny.

Anyway, IMO it's just another kiddie game the GC could well do without. I want to drive real hard and murder innocents - in a game anyway. IRL I'm a mild mannered, well adjusted family man who wouldn't hurt a fly. LOL.

I disagree, this game looks awesome. Your only saying this is a kiddy game because of the way its presented. You obviously haven't played Mario & Luigi's Superstar Saga, which IMO was one of the best games of last year. I can't wait for this game, lets hope they decide to make a direct sequal to M & L: SS on Gamecube or GBA as well one day ^_^

Pay-per-Mario 2 might not be a kiddie game. But it's all dressed up in kiddie clothes, sat in a stroller, licking on a lollipop, so a whole lot of people are going to think it's a kiddie title...

That's part of the Nintendo problem, they produce games that are perfectly playable by adults, but dress them up to look like they are aimed at kids.
