US games mag Game Informer carries some blistering screens taken from Metroid Prime 2, confirming for the first time that four-way, split-screen multiplayer action will be included in the hotly anticipated update.
From the scans doing the rounds at the moment, each player will take control of a different coloured Samus, perhaps leading to greater character expansion in MP2. As fans of the series will know, the latest release, Zero Mission for GBA, focuses on the very birth of the Metroid. It is feasible that this theme runs throughout Metroid Prime 2, with the chance that new Metroids will be introduced.
It would also appear that new visor modes are being included in the update, with two new icons appearing on the HUD.
All very interesting; expect updates from E3...
