As you will remember, we brought you news last week of a hugely expanded, high-capacity Memory Card for Nintendo's GameCube, carrying the name Nintendo GameCube Memory Card 1019 NIGC.
This news has now been confirmed by retail sources, who claim that the card, which features 17 times more storage than the original media offered for the 'Cube, will be released across the world in time for summer of 2004.

SPOnG dudes, would it perhaps be possible to make your news stories any less informative? I can't remember offhand how big the standard GameCube memory card is, so your "seventeen times as big" comment is about as useful as a "seventeen times as long as a piece of string" comment.
A much better piece of writing would have been "seventeen times as big as the GameCube's standard 64Mb card" or something like. Or should we infer that you don't know either?
