Speedfreaks rejoice! British publisher Oxygen Interactive has announced a couple of titles for budding racers in the shape of Formula Challenge and Rally UK, the latter being a working title.
Formula Challenge, in development by Aqua Pacific, is an arcade-style F1 experience with tracks already completed for racing in New York, Paris, London, Tokyo and India - not just a run-of-the-mill F1 sim, then. Formula Challenge is set for a PS2 release on June 25.
The Rally UK project is in the hands of racing specialist Brain in a Jar, and allows players to build and race their own rally cars across terrain ranging from dusty to snowy, using a physics and driving engine five years in the making and already proven in Codemasters' Indy Car Series. A classic rally game structure is promised - along with "extreme exhibition tracks" - with the game due in August on PC and PS2.
