Following Kuju’s recent announcement that it is currently developing an original action game exclusively for GameCube, various sources are reporting that the title will be nothing less than an all-new outing in the acclaimed Castlevania series.

The game is thought to have been in development since May of last year when Kuju announced the signing of a deal to develop a single game for Konami. The game will be developed at Kuju's Blackfriars, London-based studio.

However, using the power of telephony, we today contacted London studio head Mark Washbrook who set the record straight. "We are currently developing two games, one for Konami and one for Nintendo. We are not developing a Castlevania game for GameCube."

So that’s one rumour put to bed. Another case of 'I want to believe' syndrome and a bit of a shame really.

We’ll bring you updates on what both Kuju games are as and when the information comes to light. Stay tuned.

The thing is, the guy(supposely from Kuju) who posted on the cube-europe forums didnt state they were doing a Castlevania game for GC, he said they were looking for testers, regarding Castlevania what they probably meant was that a Castlevania game was being made for GC by Konami since Kuju also has a deal with Konami so the guy could simply be saying that a Castlevania game was coming for GC but not developed by Kuju, so its obvious if you're going to ask them their answer would be no........also why the heck would the guy said that people who would go for testing their Nintendo game would have to sign NDA's and then would just simply say it was a Castlevania game????
