Speaking in various Japanese newspapers over the weekend, Sega president Hisao Oguchi has shed light on the firm’s next-generation portable plans, ending months of silence on the subject.
Oguchi stated, “We have been looking over both systems for some time now and we are pleased with the development opportunities that afford (sic). Both Nintendo’s DS and Sony’s PSP will see Sega games released for them.” He continues, “We are currently underway with projects for the DS and the PSP. Development has already begun and will continue throughout this year.”
However, Oguchi seemed less than confident that Sega would make the launch dates of either machine. “At this point in time, we are unsure as to whether Sega games will be included in the launch line-up of either machine.”
Expect updates at E3 this May.
