Capcom is the company that made Steel Battalion for Xbox. You remember that, right? You needed a gigantic plastic tank dashboard to play it. It was kind of cool, in a kind of ‘I-hope-no-one-sees-me-doing-this’ kind of way.
Anyway, Capcom has announced a fresh peripheral deal, this time with fighting stick-famed Hori, for a katana-shaped PlayStation 2 controller. Really, that’s what has actually happened. Look, here’s a picture and everything.
It’s to mark the release of Onimusha 3, which is fair enough, we suppose. It’s a metre in length, has gold bits on it, and lets players slash away in front of their TV sets via the magic of a pressure pad and a ball bearing hidden away in the shaft. It also, as you can see, has a completely unusable PlayStation 2 controller built into the hilt.
However, the best bit is that it will cost at least £100.
Capcom, we love you indeed!
