Exclusive: Top Spin Developer to Make Xbox Live Soccer Sim – Top Spin 2 Dated

We can exclusively reveal today that Top Spin developer Power and Magic has an online soccer game in what has been described as “late planning stages” at its studio in France.
The game, exclusive to the Xbox, and expected to ship in early 2005, will feature full online gameplay. One of the options being examined at present is the possibility of online play for as many as 22 simultaneous players.
In other news, Top Spin 2 will be released worldwide before Christmas 2004. We were told that the game will feature deeper options, to generate a “more customisable and complete experience,” whatever that may mean.
There will also be a heavy focus on ranked doubles play, again, all using the Xbox Live online gaming facility. Top Spin 2 will also feature heave XSN functionality, with MSN Messenger updates being heavily pushed for the first time.
