Sony Japan’s Consumer Electronics division has announced that the PSX will be available this year in Japan, in good news for the techno-fetishist masses of the island nation.
Both the basic model, featuring a 160 GB hard drive, and the top-end device with a staggering 250 GB of available space , will go on sale from December 13th across the country.
Sony insiders have recently confirmed to us that the PSX will be making its way outside of Japan, with the European release being handled jointly between Sony Europe’s Consumer Electronics and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.
The pricing for the units translates to around £400 to £600, confirming predictions made when the machine was announced. These prices are likely to carry across to the West when the machines launch mid next year.
