The PlayStation 2 has been around for a long time. Although still propping up the hardware and software sales charts everywhere in the world, it’s starting to show signs of ageing, with only the genius that is Polyphony Digital able to land a decent blow to the Xbox and GameCube.
And yet it’s a new version of the PlayStation 2 that’s provoking the most lust and longing seen for quite a while in the world’s gaming community.
The PSX is possibly the best-looking gaming machine the world has ever seen. Apart from the Xbox and Jaguar, obviously. Sony’s design department has seemingly been communicating with God (again) who has kindly helped all involved create something that inspires a sense of wonderment in all those lucky enough to behold it, including - today - you.
