Not one to miss a trick, Nintendo, on the day after Nokia has launched its N-Gage games machine/telephone, has announced that it has sold a staggering two million Game Boy Advance SP hardware units in Europe.
This is indeed an incredible figure, given that the machine has been out for just six months. For reference, Sony has moved about five million PlayStation 2 consoles into the UK since launch…
Unfortunately no quote from Nintendo Europe’s David Gosen was available. And we are as gutted as you about that…
Given that this is, without question, Nintendo’s N-Gage launch-spoiler announcement, it will be interesting to see the week one sales of the Nokia machine, when announced next week.
Stay tuned.
