We brought you news two weeks ago that foretold of a 15th anniversary resurrection of Capcom’s acclaimed Hyper Street Fighter II title, and by way of trumping the Tokyo Game Show, the first details were released overnight.
Carrying the impressive name Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary, the pack will move away from the bog-standard compilation, preferring instead to enable all different versions of characters to be blended together.
This will mean that the character variants from The World Warrior, Champion Edition, Turbo, Super, and Super Turbo will be thrown in together, complete with a mixture on backgrounds from all five games.
A bonus DVD will be included, featuring a gallery, game credits, story information, endings and intros for all characters from all games, and a techniques movie, showing glitches, famous combos and tournament footage from the past 15 years, all exclusive to PS2.
Rumours that it also comes with a cherry on top could not be confirmed at this time.
