Exclusive: Sega speaks on Virtua Fighter Quest Tokyo Game Show future
According to representatives from Sega Japan and Sega Europe, the hotly anticipated GameCube RPG Virtua Fighter Quest will not be on the showfloor at this week’s Tokyo Game Show, scuppering the hopes of fans around the world.

“We have been told that [VF Quest] will not be on at the show this week. It has no booth allocation, so it’s definitely not on the showfloor, it’s not on the plan,” a Sega representative stated today. “We’ve asked, and been told by senior management that it won’t be there.”

However, there is some hope, albeit faint.

“It might be a secret, though we’ve not been briefed on it. It might be shown privately… If its going to make an appearance, then literally no-one below board-level knows about it. I don’t think it will be there.”

That’s Sega speaking, in the always-chaotic countdown to Japan’s key gaming expo!

We’ll endeavour to clarify the status of Virtua Fighter Quest whether it makes this week’s show or not.

Stay tuned for all the latest developments in Tokyo, direct from the show, as they break.
