In the lull of Dragon Quest RPG offerings blighting solo gamers at present, perhaps this quirky Square Enix offering will bring at least a wry smile to those deeply affected by random battle withdrawal.
It’s a stand-alone TV game as popularised in the early 80's. Essentially a box with power leads and composite AV, you just plug it into the TV set and away you go.
Impressively, Square Enix has managed to squeeze a lengthy RPG into the box, which is controlled - and here’s the best bit - by a plastic, motion-sensing sword.
All very interesting. And very Japan-only, which is a shame, as once upon a time, our shores were awash with strange eastern TV games.
