Dashing new Xbox Live interface
Yesterday, Microsoft had announced they would be revamping the Xbox Live dashboard. August 25 was the date given to US gamers, but already the scheme’s been knocked back until mid-September. A European date has yet to be revealed, but we’d guess around November time. The new interface will offer the opportunity to access your friends list immediately, with no need to faff around with account management or game-booting. This should make the whole process of organising your Live games a lot easier, and you’ll be able to use Voice Chat directly from the dash.

The new Live Web system also heralds the birth of XSN Sports, which will draw players together with leagues, stats and scoreboards worldwide. Indeed, NFL Fever 2004 will be bundled with two months of free Xbox Live access when it’s released in the US later this month. We’ll keep you informed of prospective European dates for all this goodness, and in the meantime, keep an eye on the official Xbox Live website at xbox.com/LIVE/About/Features-LiveNow.htm
