In what is turning out to be grand day for RPG news, Square Enix has released new screenshots of its forthcoming epic, Dragon Quest VIII.
The game comes with full 3D environments and features some form of cel-shading technique, most noticeable on the character models. The setting of the game appears to be quite rural and spacious, and boasts real-time weather and time changes a la Wind Waker.
Players will be able to lift barrels, open chests and search for items, but other than that, little else is known about the game.
Don’t expect a European release before Autumn of next year.
