Online reports this morning are pointing towards Sega’s HitMaker R&D studio creating an online shooting game around the town of Carbondale in Illinois, in a strange move if it proves to be true.
According to Polygon, the town was chosen for its architectural aspects conducive to making a good free-roaming shooter, including the town hall, police station and water treatment plant. Sega representatives have also been photographing and sketching various other parts of the town for use in the game, carrying the tentative title Carbondale at this time.
