Jester’s Music 3000 can make even the most tone deaf, rhythmically-challenged wannabe sample fiend sound half-decent. If you’ve enjoyed the experimental phase that comes as standard with music utilities, then you may consider yourself ready for a real challenge.
Well, Jester Interactive has just the thing for aspiring musician types. Music 3000 users are invited to enter a competition to create a track and submit it for a panel of music industry judges to listen to. Ten finalists will then be invited to London in September to take part in a Music 3000 workshop. Here, the finalists can polish up their tunes. After the workshop, a bit of a do will be thrown for the finalists at the AKA club in London. The winning track will then be played to the throng.
The overall winner of the competition will get their tune pressed to vinyl as a limited run of 500 copies, and the record will be distributed to top DJ’s and music industry insiders, such as those all-important A&R people.
A specific website has been launched which gives Music 3000 users more information on the competition. Point your browser at music3000.co.uk and do your bit to save us from a future of bland Pop Idols!
