Reports from Japan breaking this morning state that Nintendo will not be hosting a SpaceWorld event this year, following the firm’s decision to can the event in 2002 for costing reasons.
Furthermore, the firm’s Kyoto headquarters has reportedly confirmed that there are no plans for an event, and we can exclusively reveal that there is no booking at the event’s usual venue, Tokyo’s Makuhari Messe convention Centre.
Bah!
This also spells a long wait before Mario 128, the true sequel to Mario 64, will be seen in public. It was thought that Nintendo would resurrect SpaceWorld this year to show off new offerings in both the Mario and Zelda series.
