E3 - The Place to Be
According to owners IDSA, last week's LA knees-up E3 attracted more than 62,000 industry professionals from over 80 countries.

The data in full reveals that, across the show's gargantuan 520,000 square feet of space, there were about 400 exhibitors, collectively showing off roughly 1,350 new products in some way related to video games. Surprisingly, over 80% of these are scheduled to hit retail just in time for jolly St. Nick's festive round of chimney-hopping.

Commenting on the show's impressive turnout, IDSA president Doug Lowenstein said,

"The 62,000 industry insiders who attended this year's E3 Expo were treated to a preview of thousands of new products that are part of the amazing revolution that is games - products that continually push the boundaries of entertainment and will provide millions of consumers with countless hours of enjoyment in the coming months.

"We are pleased that E3 Expo was once again able to provide the worldwide interactive entertainment community with the premier venue at which to do business, learn about the latest products, and make new contacts, and we are already looking forward to the show's tenth anniversary next year."
