Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck are set to bound back onto the PS2, GC and GBA in the latest Looney Toons game, Looney Toons: Back In Action. Somewhat unsurprisingly, this will be in the form of a colourful one-player platforming romp. In the search for the Blue Monkey Diamond, players have to balance their use of the 2 characters to negotiate their way through the game. Bugs has bunny-like abilities (i.e. digging) and Daffy has duck-like abilities (i.e. er… being beaten to a pulp) and these talents will be required to successfully traverse the wacky world of Looney Toons.
With the prerequisite array of collectables and power-ups (suitably adorned with big ACME logos), Back In Action seems to be treading a well-worn path. But at the end of the day, it is a sensible formula for the EA-owned franchise and will probably appeal to platform fans and Looney Toons fans alike.
