Nintendo of America has revealed that Mario Kart DoubleDash for GameCube will feature the ability for up-to eight players, entailing a link between two consoles via the broadband connector.
"Pack up to eight players into your living room and turn up the fun when you connect Nintendo GameCube systems via the Broadband adaptor." Interestingly, this has been changed overnight from "Pack up to eight players into your living room and turn up the fun when you connect two Nintendo GameCubes via the Broadband adaptor."
It appears that Nintendo has accidentally let slip that as well as rumoured online support, Mario Kart will feature two-console link mode, which is nice.
Of course, it could all be a typo...
