CDV Software has announced that its 3D perspective, World War II-based, real time strategy game Blitzkrieg, will be available from all good retailers (and some rubbish ones) on May 16.
Supposedly similar to Sudden Strike, this game allows the player to command Allied, Russian or German troops. However, it also provides entirely new tactical opportunities thanks to its 3D terrain and units.
"Blitzkrieg builds on CDV's proven expertise in the RTS genre with an unprecedented sense of 'being there'," says Terry Malham, CDV's UK president. "The game is highly atmospheric – the large number of units, the landscape, even the weather all combine to immerse the player in the action."
It's been something of an epic wait for Blitzkrieg - not long to go now.
