Today, the drawn out merger between SquareSoft, acclaimed creators of the Final Fantasy series, and Enix, the outfit behind the wildy popular (in Japan, anyway) Dragon Quest games, becomes a reality.
“The change reflects our preparation for a new start. We like to think of the merger as creative and innovative”, said the company in a press release. “While the unified company will inherit creative elements of the past, we also look forward to an innovative future together.”
As of yet, only the new logo designs have been shown, though expect some sort of game announcements within the next few weeks.
