Konami of America has made the shock announcement that it has a new Castlevania in the works, breaking the E3 embargo believed to be placed on the title.
As we revealed some weeks ago, a new game in the series, exclusive to PlayStation 2, is in the works. Konami, aside from announcing its existence, has spilled few beans, other than to confirm that series producer Koji Igarashi will take the lead and the game “…will plunge players into a fantastic new vampire-hunting adventure. Maximising the processing power of the console, the ominous drama of the franchise will be realised through exhilarating action, a rich story, breathtaking environments, dazzling next-generation graphics and a sweeping musical soundtrack.”
