Capcom has today confirmed that film director Kinji Fukasaku has died. Fukusaku has worked with Capcom several times in the creation of cut scenes for their games.
A renowned cinematic figure, Fukasaku was amongst the most commercially successful of directors in his native Japan. He is the man responsible for such classics as Shogun Samurai, Graveyard of Honor and the Yakuza Papers, and more recently the acclaimed Geisha House and Battle Royale.
His last videogame work is Clock Tower, which is due for release later this year. The cause of Fukasaku-san's death was not disclosed, he 73 years old.
