Vivendi has released details of the Warcraft III expansion pack, which it intends to release in the next few months. Amusingly titled "The Frozen Throne", the missions contained in the pack are set several months after the final Warcraft III single-player battle has finished.
That was really about all the developers said. They promised new stuff, such as weapons, abilities, upgradeables and items, but didn't say exactly what these new things are, which is a bit strange...
However, three new multiplayer maps are promised, so that's something isn't it?
"We are very pleased by the success of Warcraft III," said Mike Morhaime, Blizzard Entertainment president and co-founder. "Our plans for the expansion set include increasing the strategic gameplay possibilities and depth of the Warcraft universe by introducing a wide array of new Heroes and units, specifically designed to enhance each race."
Expect to see "The Frozen Throne" (smirk) before summer 2003.
