Having learned that Sonic Team’s secret GameCube project was nothing more than a remake of the 1998 Dreamcast game, we were naturally disappointed.
But today, upon receiving a batch of shiny new screens and information, things seem a little better. Sega of Japan has stated that the control system and camera work that plagued the DC release will be fully revised.
All the graphics will be overhauled, and word has it that several extra levels, perhaps themed after some of Sonic’s earlier 16-Bit outings, will be included.
We have had it confirmed that the game will feature a heavy amount of Game Boy Advance link-up with both Sonic Pinball and Sonic Advance 2, which is always nice to hear.
Enjoy these screens and stay tuned for more soon.
