Konami of Japan has announced that Gradius V for PlayStation 2 is in the works, ending rumours that the series would shrink away, perhaps becoming exclusive to Game Boy Advance.
According to reports, the power-up system will be somewhat altered from the ‘collect and choose’ method players are used to. Furthermore, the power-ups will differ, depending on which ship is chosen.
Two player co-operative and competitive modes were also confirmed.
Speaking today, Konami Europe said that it expected to receive further information from Japan in the next few days, meaning that a European release is likely. Yay!
