Yu Suzuki’s AM2 team has announced that a new version of Outrun, the seminal arcade racer, will be launched into the arcades this year, ending years of speculation as to the future of the series.
The game, as yet without an official title, will be released on the Xbox-based Chihiro arcade platform, making an Xbox version a near certainty.
Speaking to us last year, Suzuki stated that the game will be a true arcade racer, not a simulator as some had thought.
