As reported here weeks ago, Nintendo will launch a new version of the Game Boy Advance handheld at the end of March.
The Game Boy Advance SP will feature a flip-up screen with a front light for the screen. This will address some of the criticism the GBA has faced for its screen.
The unit, which is about 10cm square and about 3cm thick, will also have a mobile phone-style rechargeable lithium battery which should provide around 10 hours life.
The new unit is aimed at adult market and carries a retail price of 129-139 Euros. Expect this to translate to £79.99 or £89.99 on the UK market.
The system will share its games with the GBA.
